With new British Champion Lee Street up against some old rivals in the shape of Adam Shipp, Lee Pitman, Gary Wells and Paul Simmons. The 1,000cc Right Hand Sidecars looked to be a close thing between Wilson, Tolhurst, Whitelam and Hiscock renewing old rivalries from last season.
